High Latency 30/06

I'm experiencing high latency to international gaming servers. This has only happened today. I'm in Somerset West.
 
Still very high latency online applications pinging more than 300ms than normal and seems to be severe packet loss as well reported from my online applications. Im geting tired of this :mad:

I'm having a more unusual latency issue. Latency is fine if I run only one internet using application at a time but if I say....download something and try to download a second item, the second item will completely timeout. While a download is active all pings go to the 1000ms+ region but the second you stop a download (or connection heavy app) the latency returns to around the 300ms region I'm used to.

Not quite sure who's to blame for this issue though as it's quite a strange one.....
 
Interesting find I installed Nokia Ova Suite + Nokia modem driver a while back and it seemed to changed my MTU settings for most devices.

It is still quite laggy tonight, but will change setting to normal and see if it effects anything.

Is there any temporary alternative than level3.net until they get this sorted, been 3 days now?
 
Hi guys.

Are there alternate gaming servers in the States which you can try.
 
It doesnt really work like that you are confined to the servers you created your characters on which are in europe for most South Africans. I will also try to send this pathping to both Level3 and Telia (Blizzard's isp). I have also made a latency report to Blizzard. But at the moment I cant play until they either fix this or if I can find a another temporary upstream provider through another isp which hasnt got this problems.Verzion seems to be working and i might try to test MTNBusinnes tonight to see if they dont go through same route.

I am adding my voice to this high latency issue,my latency last night was just atrocious. South African wow players mostly connect to European Servers some are connected to the Americas. Your toons / characters are locked to a specific server.

This is the 2nd issue I am battling with at the moment from IBurst. IBurst has a lot of PR regarding customer service etc... going around the forums but it’s not going to do IBurst’s business a lot of good if the service levels and throughput sucks. Shaun please help us 

An upstream provider has a problem with international links. We are reliant on them to fix this ASAP.

It has been reported and escalated. Almost all the ISP of South Africa are affected by this degredation.

I apologise for this. As soon as they have it repaired I will definetly post.

This is not the norm guys. We are on it.
 
Latency

Wow dude 300 - 350 i have never seen better on my conn than 480ms and my avg is between 600 and 700 ms no pvp for me :( are there some tweeks u did ???
 
PM'ed some tweaks for you m8, on a good day its around 330-350 on average, on a busy day it can hit mid 450. But with this latency issue its been over 1kms.

In Lotro its 230-280ms all the time.

My Latency jumped to above 4000. It was almost comical. My instant casts took longer to cast than my hearthstone.

I am with Axxess and they are aware of a problem with international servers as well.

I hope they fix this by the end of today!
 
Sucks to Technicaly challenged :)

I love this country but it realy sucks as far as technology and telkoms goes :(

My latency was 1.2k last night still had my best VOA eva got [Hateful Gladiator's Silk Handguards] and [Valorous Kirin Tor Leggings ] in a pug :)

Yes.

Not too sure if it is with them or their connection to Europe.
