Is it local or international? If you're the only user on the line, then it is definitely not going to make a difference whether you upg or not. If it is International, that is just because the International link seems to be "Busier" during office hours.

Current ping through to games.saix.net is averaging around 600 - 4 pm Monday. Should be in the order of 20ms
