High Mileage Audi TT

Well my promotion seems to have fallen through so no 350z or S2000 for me :'(

Trying to make the best of a bad situation, enter the Audi TT 1.8T Quattro, Year 2000, mileage 150k. Going for 104k. Going to test drive tonight.
Thoughts? We thinking MR2 Spyder but dont like the interior and I think the Miata looks like a bar of soap.

can you finance that car or is it too old? or you buying cash?

obviously different strokes fro different folks but imo i would go for something maybe not so flashy but newer that wont cost an arm and a leg to service.

They covered those TTs in the buying used section of CAR Magazine sometime ago. Seemed that turbo and electrics where the only real problem areas. Still an excellent car to drive and be driven in - I recall back in 2001 when my VAG collecting buddy had one. You had to pinch yourself to believe that it was a 1.8

For R104k the Audi looks good, the MR2 & MX-5's are and look MUCH older. They are non-turbo though so as reliable as a tazz but who cares about that in a roadster.
