I recently moved to PMB and installed fibre about 3 months ago.

I've been dealing with Afrihost's support for almost a month now. Metrofibre is my provider, and I'm currently dealing with what I believe to be line congestion. I have no issues when using it during off-peak hours, but as soon as 7 PM comes, all the problems start, and conveniently no problems after 11.

Currently, Metrofibre says it's Afrihost's issue, and vice versa,
but no one is providing solutions or trying to fix it, which is why I'm posting here.
I see I'm now locked into a 6-month contract with Afrihost, so I can't even move to another ISP.

Attached Pics to see what I mean. more here,
As you can see, packet loss is fine during certain hours.

Hi @slavking

Our apologies for the inconvenience caused during this period. We've picked up some complaints in the area with MFN and are currently in talks with the FNO with regards to the issue.

Please test to your gateway instead of Google so we can see.

Do you mean my routers IP "gateway" that's no 1 on my winMTR screenshots 192.168.3.1
my router is the first traceroute?

You'll need to connect to the ONT directly, run Ipconfig to get your gateway IP then run a pingplotter and winMTR to the default gateway IP.

I see congestion has reduced for now, will send another image tomorrow night.

Hi

MetroFibre net ops team has dropped the primary backhaul link and traffic is on the backup link for this evening. Please test and check if you are still experiencing issues.

Thank you. We have escalated back to MFN; they will be doing last-mile troubleshooting to the OLT

Definitely finally sorted out from my side, packetloss is basically 0% now during prime hrs.

thank you very much @Afrigirl
Will Pm in future if any problems surface again.
