What do you mean by high? Are you getting > 1000ms? Pings in the range of 300-400ms are normal for a wireless connection.

Welcome to CDMA. Pings should be around 200ms for connections in SA, and around 500ms to UK, 550ms to US. You shouldn't really be getting anything else higher. Neotel = game killer :/

I don't know if the OP fits into this category, but there have been a couple of people on the forums who sign up for Neotel and then bitch & moan about bad latencies on FPS online games. It's the nature of the technology and Neotel's site makes that clear. I use Neotel for the odd Guildwars or Shaiya sessions, but I would definitely avoid any wireless provider if I was a serious FPS gamer.

You really shouldn't believe everything Neotel tells you, clearly I've been with them a lot longer than you have.

I usually don't believe things I'm told without doing my own research to confirm it. Glad to know you also kept yourself informed. Good luck with the latency.
