Hi there

Could anyone please help me?

My ping has shot up from about 60ms when pinging mybroadband.co.za to 700+ for about a week now.

I did a tracert, but I don't know how it works or how to diagnose what is wrong. I live in Somerset west, so apparently it is on the WSSW exchange.
Can anyone help?

My download speeds and all that are perfect, just the ping is ridiculous.

Silly question, but are you downloading while doing the tracert?
If possible try running tests when the line is idle and connected via cable to rule of wireless ***
 
A couple of days ago I reset the router, and as it turned on I pinged mybroadband.co.za... 700 pings. So absolutely no downloads. It's on all devices, because my cellphones skype also will not load videos... So it's not the PC. I'm on telkom 2mbps uncapped.
 

Hmmm. Somerset West is one of the richest areas per capita in the world.

I'm gonna dedicate at least 3 hours of my Sundays going over to peoples houses and convincing them to cancel their ADSL if they don't sort it out :)

I've just come off the phone with telkom, they've logged the error, and they gonna call me back Tomorrow. Not going down without a fight haha.

Glad to announce that the problem is solved. Telkom sorted what ever the problem was :)

Also my download speeds are higher than ever :)
