Last night my old school played their first game under lights. It seemed to me like it could be quite a nice idea, as it allows a lot more people to come and watch the games. I'm just wondering if other schools around the country are doing this too. Also, what do you guyts think, is it a good idea to play games at night?

When I was in school we always begged to play under the lights at night but we always got the same excuse about the lights costing the school too much too keep on.

Some schools do not have the privilege of playing under lights. Seems like a very innovative idea. Not sure if it will bring in more crowds but night games generally add atmosphere

The school brought in temperory lighting, they used scaffolds to buil the 'towers', the lights were not great, but you could see what was going on.

The crowd was propably bigger than normal, about 2 000 to 3 000, a far cry from the school's record crowds of 10 000+, but last night was just a festival game. I think that it would increase crowds though. Playing at Saturday at 7pm instead of 3pm means that people who were at work can now make it to the game.
