Hi there,

I'm using an e3276s-150 for my primary connection and have noticed that the DPC latency of this modem goes through the roof in RNDIS mode, though the packet loss is awful on RAS mode.
To mitigate the effects as much as possible I'm sharing the connection over ethernet to my gaming PC, the DPC latency was really screwing up games with it plugged directly in.

However the problem still remains on the laptop, when idle the modem causes huge DPC latency spikes from an average of 60us up to 500+us and then returns to idle. When transferring data it shoots up to 500-700us constantly.

Is there any solution to this, configuration / drivers wise?

Here's some screenshots:

I don't get latency issues with my e3276s.

I use firmware version 21.491.03.00.00 from here.
Your Windows driver is not the latest. I use driver version 5.05.02.00 from here.
You may also want to use the latest DPC Latency Checker V1.4.0 from here.

Ah thanks so much man, I was having a lot of trouble googling firmware and drivers for the modem!
I'll get this stuff set up this evening and see how it goes.

Sorry about the double post - just an update.

Hmm, gonna have to roll back to an earlier firmware - that one is causing ping spikes that I wasn't getting before. Pitty because the throughput is improved a bit. Still have the DPC latency issue with those newer drivers. Might just get a router that supports USB modems.
