I have to say that I have found the removal of the highlights channel (SS5) a poor one. While I understand that running two channels that were effectively doing the same thing was ineffective form a cost point of view, I feel that you have decreased customer satisfaction. If you wanted to remove a channel, it was SS4 that was, in my mind the useless one, rather than SS5. What is worse is that whereas SS5 told us when we could expect highlights from a certain sport, the current setup in SS4 means we have to be constantly glued to our TVs. Worse for us PVR viewers it means that we can't even record the highlights to view at a later stage.
While you have a captive a market it will work for you. However I would suggest that subscribers have a long memory and will easily move if better value is to be found elsewhere. Worse, it will mean that Multichoice will have no goodwill and as such, current subscribers will have little reason to stay.
Furthermore to this is the advertised La Liga for 2006/7. You advertised this, without having actually secured La Liga rights. I may be in the minority but I have to add that in these respects Multichoice have let me down and I am not afraid to say that you cannot depend on my continued subscription should competition arrive.
