HikVision DVR SMTP Issue

Hi all,

I'm struggling to get my HikVision DVR to send out emails on events. Since I'm on Vodacom, I'm using the exact same details for my Paradox IP150 which is working 100%, however on the HikVision it keeps on failing when doing the test.

Any idea what might be the cause?
SMTP Server: smtp.vodamail.co.za or smtp.vodacom.co.za
SMTP Port: 25

Any errors when clicking the test button..?
Have you checked the log on the DVR for any related errors..?
Checked the spam/junk box for the receiving email you tested with..?
Tried using an authenticated email account like your gmail or other hosted email account..?

I only have a hikvision cam, so assuming the DVR has somewhat similar type interface and options when accessed remotely..
