Cheapest FHD plasma is around R8.5k and 51", hard to find smaller ones in SA.
That said, you generally wouldn't find light bleed/light spots on a plasma. Because each pixel is self illuminated, unlike most LCD tech where pixels make use of backlight(s) needed to illuminate them (many).
This is one factor which leads to plasma's higher contrast ratio and better picture quality.
There we go. You're preaching to the converted. But this price point is ridiculous. But I'm convinced my next tv must be 'smart'. I don't see alot of plasmas in ads though.
as long as its not grainy and is watchable, then I would be fine with it.
Saw an ad for the TV in the game paper and they claim "100hz" cmr like the Samsung's.

No it does not. It does have the mounting points though. Do TVs normally come with a bracket?
