Hi guys

Hoping someone has a bit more insight on the difference between these two TV's. I find the 55m7000 on the local Hisense site, but not the 55m7030. Is the m7030 just an updated model or are there major differences between the two?

It's a slight upgrade mostly pertaining to the new operating system.

The 55m7000 has been discontinued and is replaced with the 7030. There are huge differences, for instance the HDR. The 7030 has the HDR Pro. I have both. Picture quality vastly improved on the 7030. With Playstation HDR games huge difference.

The 7030 is on special at Makro at the moment for R9999. Compared to takealot's R11899 deal.

I am going to get myself one today. Was either the 55inch 7030, or the 2018 samsung qled Q6 for R16000, which is a good price, but not sure if I want to pay 60% more. Thinking the Hisense will do the job.

Depending on what you want to watch. DSTV only has HD. Netflix and Amazon has 4K and HDR. Also keep in mind, you need high internet speed for quality picture. For that price you won't get a better 4K TV. Hisense HDR Pro equivalent to Samsung HDR 10+. The major difference here is the quantum dot technology from Samsung.

Yeah, I will be getting 100/100 fibre line soon, and then stream netflix 4k and HDR.
The main reason for my choice is the value for money, the Samsung Qled is probably better. I could even spend up more and get an LG OLED. Makro had the 65 inch for R30k.

But for R10k, I would rather save the rest of the money. The hisense will be more than enough for me.
