Hisense A85G OLED - 120hz?

Hi all,

Curious as to why the box on this tv says 120hz "Native". Can only choose 120hz if I use 1080p.
Is this some marketing jargon? Thanks

Probably only HDMI 2.0 ports, there isn't enough bandwidth there for anything higher than 1080@120Hz.

This is what I was thinking, why though, does the box say "native 120hz". Fairly false?

A8G is 120Hz at 1080p. May even be at 1440p.

A8H is 120Hz at 2160p. This is the one you probably wanted to get.

Hisense has been doing this since 2019. They lie about specs all the time unfortunately.

The panel itself supports it, but yep it is misleading to most consumers.

I wouldn't touch HiSense in SA as we get cut down cheaper versions that have the same main model numbers as the international variants.
