Historical JSE monthly data from 1985-current

Hello all,

Just wondering if any of you have access to historical monthly data of the JSE All-Share Index from 1985 to the current month? If you do, can you pleas e PM me. It's for research purposes only...promise

Basically the format would be something like this:

Month JSE All Share Index
Jan 1985 1045.9
February 1985 1146.8

Etc.

This link downloads an excel spreadsheet from the JSE website with data for a number of indexes since 2002, including the JSE ALSI and JSE ALSI total return index.

It is not the JSE alsi, but a good broad based index of JSE listed shares. For an explanation see:

Instructions:
At the landing page, where it shows 'Regional Country Sector' click on 'Country'
Scroll down list of countries and click on 'South Africa'
Select as follows:
Term: Full history
Index level: Gross- for total return index /or Price- for index level excl. dividends.
Currency: Local for Rand returns
Frequency: Monthly
Click 'update'
Click on 'Download data' (above the graph) for an excel spreadsheet with monthly index levels.

Sorry, late post resurrecting the thread again. I have historical information on all shares. They are listed by day, as far back as 1985, opening price, closing price and volume traded. Let me know what you need.
