So - I turned 30 in March... and it seems good things happen.

My insurance went down from R17xx per month to R14xx - on enquiry I was told its because I hit 30. :wtf:

Then I got my rates and taxes bill, my water has come down from around R250-300/month to R33 for a second month running... its not 30 related, its because I put in a well point, which will obviously pay itself off pretty fast :D

AND - my electricity went down by 28% - while it looks like everyone else went up... (although I did stock up at the end of March to carry me for a few months :()

With all this saving - I could buy myself STUFF!

/END [Another useless thread]

At least it is a positive useless thread and not another God/Atheist thread ughh. I'm glad things are going well. :D

In total, the savings
Electricity: 300/month
Water: R250/month
Insurance: R300/month

Thats a total saving of R850 a month :D

Yeh - I've decide to stay away from all the racial/god/atheist/etc threads for as long as possible.

Nice.

What cool stuff did you buy?

Nothing yet :p But I have R850 extra each month :p

AND - The broker just let me know I'm over insured on my vehicles, so she's adjusted the policy and will send me the updated documents, an even bigger reduction.

Fortunately, I can't stand the smell of cigarette's - so they never got me hooked.

The saving went up to R1080.00 after further insurance reductions :)

That's about what I could save if I quit smoking. :-(

R800 a month on smoking??? WHAT ARE U SMOKING?
I hope you are getting some kind of altered mental state with that kind of cash dumped...

probably a chain smoker.. also cigarettes are expensive

Your insurance premium will likely go down ---> At age 30 you are past the so called "accident hump" (just some insurance lingo :p )
I'm glad for you! Now go buy some nice stuff :D
