Hi all!!

I have looked to see if this problem exists in the support section, but cant find it, so if there is a solution, please point me in the right direction.

I bought HL2 on Monday, started to install, and ran through the steam install, then the HL2 install (all 5 CD's).

Then I registered with Steam, and assumed all to be OK. Updated Steam and thought I was good to go (after about 1 hour of update on a 1024 IBURST connection).

Now, when I try launch HL2, it open Steam and tries to connect, but cant, give me the following error ...

Could not connect to Steam Network
This could be due to a problem with your internet connection,or with the Steam Network. Please visit www.steampowered.com for more info.

I have tried disabling Windows XP (pro SP2) Firewall and my AV (avast!, and tried to logon to Steam ... same error. Also deleted the *.BLOG file, re-updated the files, still the same error. Even tried to connect through my MTN 3G account ... same error!!

What am I doing wrong?? People are pointing to my IBRUST, saying it is a connection problem?!?!

PLEASE HELP!!!

I had the same problem. Are you connecting to your iBurst modem via a USB cable? If so try using a ethernet/network cable and the problem will go away.

As for the 3g Error i have no idea what he problem there can be... USB again?
