Hmmm .. Help?!

My ADSL is pretty weird atm, Basicly I get dissconnected every few hours[2-4] then it has problems connecting[saying my username and pass is incorrect] and usally after a few tries it gets going, but this morning it wont connect at all.

Any ideas on what the hell is going on?

I'm using Macaroni Modem :/

If you have that router / modem, you also have a Telkom account?

Anyway, bad weather in JHB is causing me to disconnect often, but no problems reconnecting.

Which ISP? this sounds normal on most SAIX based isp accounts, they do reconnections in lower increments the closer you get to your cap.

Moederloos: Lol, yeah sorry I forgot to add my ISP , which is indeed telkominternet. I have a netgear modem, but left it at my parents house when I moved out this year, and only got adsl about 3 weeks ago

Clipse: Saix yes, but this is mad, 2-4 hours, I wasted most of my cap trying to download one flippin thing from rapidshare, and everytime it hits 50-70% my line dies, so have to start over everytime

yup, thats 1/2 why i moved from my last isp.. it gets annoying when you download stuff and forgot to check when last timeout was. now i got 24hr timeouts so i just set it once at 1am and never worry again cept if the filter acts up(which it does now and then)

I am in JHB and have not had single disconnection the whole day! I don't think the ADSL lines are affected by a little rain!
