I wonder what "profile" they are "updating":rolleyes:

I think the only reason why its only 384 and 4096 is beacuse they are not 512, the default profile. I suspect this has more to do with rectifying profile mapping type problems, as experienced by those in the '4Mbps running at 512' thread.

Shouldn't profile be in the plural ?
 
could just mean: when the profile (of each user) will be updated?
 
the 4096k upload was supposed to be increased to 512k. Not sure what is happening with 384k as my line is exactly the same........??

I believe this was speculation (i.e. it wasn't confirmed as to what profile update was being made). I had photonman increase my upstream a month back (I only managed 512Kbps). I was really hoping for this to be the 8Mbps trial, but no luck (yes, I realise this was discussed earlier in the thread and potentially debunked, but a guy can still hope...) :(

I'm wondering if this actually happened or not. I would have lost synch, wouldn't I?
