Hey!

Trying to setup a plan for some extra curriculars for the little one. They've been doing some swimming but as they are somewhat decent looking at something else for 2026. Considering some level of martial arts or gymnastics or possibly ballet. Looking for some out of the box idea's.

Minion is 4 now.

They are only 4 so chill for now. No need to make them multi-curricular zombie as yet.

Be careful, it's a slippery slope.

When you wipe your eyes they are partaking in 15 different things. And then there is logistics also

True true. Trying for just 1 activity extra a week outside of school.

More so around getting them to try things out and see what sticks. Gymnastics and Ballet are top of the list because they enjoy dancing and flexibility training from a young age is a good thing.

I’ll prod them to do Piano or violin when they are a bit older :p

Gymnastics in SA is great. Its pay to win. If you spend enough your kids will go to SA's and win some made up gold medal.

Yeah, exercise is great for them. There's this one girl on Twitch who did a lot of figure skating from a young age and into her teens.

When she sits she often slouches or just curls up into a ball with basically her legs going everywhere, but when she stands up she has amazing posture that I'm quite jealous of.

Sometimes it can be a mixed bag though, depending on the exercise. For example too much running will just mess up your knees going into middle age etc.
