Ek weet. Dis waarom ek vra as jy "kreef" prefer. Ek sit kreef in inverted kommas want ek hou nie van die naam (want niemand hier sal dit spiny lobster noem nie) maar when in room...

Never had lobster so can't say. Kreef is overrated, I prefer prawns.

Now perlemoen, that's a different matter
 
Ek het nooit perlemoen geeet nie. Sal dit in my te-doen list vir februarie sit.

Don't they have a perlemoen festival in Hermanus every year at the old harbour? Pretty sure I went to one when I was a kiddie, or is it no more. Recall them braaing or cooking it in kelp or something of the sorts.

Crayfish is delicious. Abelone, meh. Depends on how it is prepared, I guess. I could barely get half a bowl of minced abelone down the other day.
