We are looking at flying to Namibia in December
I don't know much about Namibia so this is exciting.
First question, which airline to take :
Departing Johannesburg
Second, where do we fly to?
Third, where do we stay
Fourth, what is there to do in above mentioned area
Fifth, any other information would be gladly appreciated
I last flew Jhb to Nam quite a few years ago, so my info may be outdated ... I flew SAA from Jhb - Windhoek. Then a smaller aircraft to Swakopmund
More recently, when I lived in Jhb I have usually driven Jhb to Nam, via Botswana - Gobabis - Windhoek - Okahanja - Swakopmund. A long road trip, but I used to stop over at at least one place (.. either in Botswana - at a guest game farm near Kang, or near Gobabis, Namibia ..) overnight en-route.
I had a Landcruiser 100GX back then, so used to take all the lesser dirt roads in preference to the Namibian main tarred routes (which are uncrowded, and usually in excellent condition).
Not a lot to see or do in Windhoek .. it's a pleasant enough city, but very hot in December. Crime is on the increase, so take Jhb-like precautions  It has become a little dirtier, and a lot more crowded, over the years. It's like Joburg, but smaller, and without the mine dumps

Joe's Beerhall pub in Windhoek is a must visit for good beer and good food.
Best place in Nam for a holiday is probably Swakopmund, on the coast. A pleasant, clean, safe, smallish town, with plenty of good pubs & restaurants. You will be a bit constricted in mobility choices unless you hire a vehicle, to be able to drive up and down the coastline. Swimming??? The atlantic water is VERY cold!
If you fish, you would be in fishing heaven, north or south of Swakopmund. A small settlement called Hentie's Bay is north of swakop, and very popular.
Namibia is a land of
very wide-open spaces, and a vehicle, preferably 4x4 would be needed to get to many of the very out-of-the-way places such as Sandwich Harbour (south of Walvis Bay), or far up north to Torra Bay. Gravel roads are well maintained, but a 4x4 makes more places accessible, especially if you want to experience the Namib desert roads off the main routes
