Does anyone believe in this? I find it fascinating, but rather far-fetching.

the gist of the hollow earth theory - There are supposedly races that exist in subterranean cities beneath planet Earth. Very often, these dwellers of the world beneath are more technologically advanced than we on the surface. Some believe that UFOs are not from other planets, but are manufactured by strange beings in the interior of the Earth.

But, thinking on it - how do they explain the magma and volcanic/seismic activity?

Caves etc have been found to exist in the arctic and south pole... beneath the ice with traces of advanced civilizations.
