Home Affairs exec 'too black' HOOOOO

Cape Town - Home Affairs Minister Nosiviwe Mapisa-Nqakula has conceded that her department's top management team, comprising solely of "Africans", was not representative of South African society.

"The top management of the department... does not currently correspond with the Employment Equity Act," she said in a written reply to a parliamentary question from the Freedom Front Plus.

Mapisa-Nqakula said two of the five "African" deputy directors-general were women. This "confirms that steps have been taken to address gender equality".

"The department... is busy at the moment to review its Employment Equity Plan and targets set in line with the Employment Equity Act," she said.

FF Plus MPs had asked the minister why only black people had been appointed to the department's top management positions, and what steps were being taken towards representivity.

One thinks of Winnie Mandela (crook & murder suspect), Mfeketo (corrupt mayor of Cape Town), Manto-shabala (loopy health minister of garlick & lemons fame), Bloemfontein mayor (travelgate thief), Ngqula (free holidays on government aircraft) etc.. etc..?

I am not sure what Employment Equity Act is but assuming that it is something to do with how many blacks, whites, reds and yellows to be appointed at a given organiztion, then it is absolute rubbish!

people should be employed based on their skills and experience, not on a stupid skin colour!
