Home Automation - Smartkit

Hi folks,

I am very interested in getting my Paradox alarm system tied into Home Assistant, but I first need to purchase the IP150. Please give detailed feedback on your experiences with the integration also keeping in mind regarding the issues with v4.1 of the firmware? I'd hate to purchase the IP150 and discover that it doesn't work at all with these integration.

Besides Tertiush implementation, I also found this : https://github.com/tracstarr/ParadoxAlarmControl

I'd be quite keen to know which one is better and which one works out the box the quickest with Home Assistant.

I also found a discussion regarding bindings for OpenHAB - https://community.openhab.org/t/help-build-binding-for-paradox-alarm-panel-with-ip150/1712

My goal is to tell Alexa "Good night" and she turns of all the relevant lights and arms the outside beams, not to mention me being able to arm/disarm my alarm remotely, view its status and getting a notification when it goes off.

Just out of interest we will, from this week, be stocking the Chuango and Smanos security systems. We busy loading the products and settling on the retail pricing.
 
Finally completed my HomeAssistant installation yesterday, well worth the effort to have all the various interfaces controllable in one place, also allowing them to interact with each other.

(still haven't done Sonoff stuff - but its not really necessary for my needs)

Perusing the sonoff products on the site... couple of questions
1) when will you have ip66 cases back in stock? I have an application for an outdoor switch
2) RF bridge... this receives RF remote stuff and can trigger things? IE, if I put an RF motion detector in place, the RF bridge receives it and can activate another device, eg turn on some lights with a sonoff basic for 5 minutes?

I've just bought the IP150 with FW 4.2. It utterly useless without paying for the Paradox Swan server service. I'd love to hear if anyone has found a solution around this

Sorry - Metrofibre giving countless issues ...

1) Right now, we're in Chinese New Year and their offices are closed. We'll add when we place an order which should hopefully be towards end February, and an additional week to get here. If you require a few, just let me know to bring in more

2) Correct - but if I'm honest, the software is a slight let down. I'm unsure if if using the custom firmware (I've never tried) will change this or if eWeLink are working on a solution (they told me they were months back - but I'm not expecting much). Basically a the door / PIR can be used as a trigger to set a light / group of lights on - but not off. (or off, but not on).

You'd need to use two triggers ie PIR in garage turn ON outside light and door sensor on the front door, turn OFF the door light. So coming home the light goes on and going inside, turns it off. Something like the below :

I find it a bit bizarre as they already have a countdown / schedule in the app - can't be too difficult to do this

China is closed for business until 22 February for New Year - so we will be placing an order on 23 February. So let's say the end of the month?

Dolby can best let you know how well the RF bridge, motion detection and triggers work - along with IFTTT. But yes, you should be able to, using a combination of triggers and IFTTT, do what you're hoping to do.

Thanks for the feedback guys. For now I'm gonna hold off on the RF bridge stuff, ordered a couple more switches though :)

Ja, seems to be an interest in the Google Home stuff to - there wasn't much about 6 months ago. Let me see if I can source - or express from the US.

This is HADashboard - its yaml files - but very simple in comparison to Home Assistant

The blank square in my picture is supposed to be Garden Tap - but its still a work in progress - getting home-assistant to interface with Opensprinkler

Any trick to resolve issue where the WiFi light on Sonof basic doesn’t come on? The floor lamp to which it is connected doesn’t come on either but I’m assuming the Sonof starts in a switched-off position?

Silly question, you do have the input and output the correct way? The light should be on regardless if the Sonof is switched on or off.

BTW, the blue is usually the neutral and the red/brown the live, you have it the other way around. I don't know how it is being rectified internally.
