So for now, I have more Q's than A's...

Been trying to get into home composting and following this guide here: https://www.the-compost-gardener.com/bokashicomposting.html

I've done the first part and made the buckets and have been adding kitchen scraps for the last few weeks and adding bokashi each time. Then I left the first bucket to stand for two weeks, sealed.

Opened up the first bucket yesterday and it has produced liquid at the bottom which I have drained off. But the food stuff still looks mostly as it did when I put it in there. Was hoping for something more resembling compost already.

Anyone have any experience with this kind of thing?

No experience with this but iv just started using a compost box pic below if in cape town can arrange one for you...and check very helpful link on composting ....a little lengthy but worth a watch.

Thanks.

I'm hoping different things apply to the composting I'm doing. It's anaerobic and uses the bokashi to speed up the process of breaking down the food into compost. Or at least it is meant to do that...
