Hi All,

I am with HC in JHB, I have noticed there CloudFlare traffic is all been routed via the CPT node.
It is adding a bit latency, anyone else on based in JHB on HC with there traffic routing via CPT rather than JNB ?

Can't really get an answer from the support, despite it been escalated.

No issues on my side, my traffic is going straight to JHB.

What does a traceroute to 1.1.1.1 look like?
Sometimes CloudFlare routes websites on the free / lower tiers differently to the higher tiers.

1.1.1.1 going straight to CPT node.

Maybe it's a CPT range re-used for JHB but they haven't updated the configs. To reach 41.87.209.2 traffic goes to CPT and back over their own transit.

Maybe I suppose only response from support I got from them was, noted I need to speak to my manger

Just an update for those interested, credit due where it is due.
Also started to notice O365/Azure and Akamai traffic going thought CPT.
When I was pushed up the food chain, an issue was logged with the core team.
This only happened on Friday evening, since I had internet didn't expect anything to happen over the weekend.
The Monday morning I was asked for some more info, asked to test that evening same issue persists.
feedback given to the core team, nothing much of the next 2 - 3 days, then an email to say the team thinks they've found the issue.
According to my monitoring at around 22:45 suddenly traffic going to JNB node as well all other services.
asked to test next morning no problem still stable and in JHB.

I did ask for interest sake what the root cause was, haven't heard back on that. buy happy its sorted.
