Hey All,

Busy starting up my own home gym, have a spare room in the back that is big enough for myself.

Busy deciding on the floors i need for the gym, I have seen at makro and game and all these places have interlocking gym matts.

But the price for 6 matts seems rather excessive? I will probably need like 2 to 3 of those sets to cover the whole floor. Surely there is another alternative? Can anyone suggest a cheaper alternative and where to buy them?

Thanks

(please guys try stick to the topic of floors and not about not using the home gym etc...)

got the similar mats from the crazy store (same size, just a little bit softer and in different colours), only R40 for 4.

Had them in there for 5 months now and they are doing really well also add some colour to the gym :)

Also at that price its cheap to replace so you can buy extra. Home gyms are great, rather enjoy mine and cant say the results are worse then when was at VA.

I got a bunch of those mats when they came out at R125, the work much better when using heavier weights and also absorb shock, also nice if you exercise barefoot.

Got these for my kid, colours and numbers might look out of place in the gym :)

sounds good! thanks, will definitely check it out. I was considering something like the matts the kids use for their playrooms etc and like you say the bright colours certainly help make the room feel more alive. R40 sounds like the perfect price for me.

Whoop I want some too, I already poked a huge hole in my laminated flooring by removing weights off 1 side of my barbell and not the other whilst it was on my bench - never felt so stupid in my life.

I must say I am impressed with how they have held up as I kinda just throw everything around and use them for under my boxing bag which they work great for as well
