So I need a Home Loan 'contact'

This whole NCA has made it so difficult to get a home loan, they work on affordability but even though i CAN afford the bond, I dont qualify if i keep credit card accounts open even if i dont use them

what happened to the good old days where a 'friend' of a friend could sort it out

Must say I did hear about the minimum payments on your credit cards being deducted from your income but everytime I've applied for credit I've had to do a whole breakdown and they seem to accept that.

The people at the bank told me to open a clothing account and pay it back over six months. I also have a credit card that I purchase things with, but I pay my debt every payday. That is all I did and I got my loan

There is a lot of factors regarding home loans, not only your own credit rating.
A lot depends on the house, the size of the loan and the area in which the property is.
Also how long you have been working, how long you have been at your present company, etc.....

Dat also but the main thing is when the bank is dishing out da loan to you dats one of the main factors I deal with these type of things on a daily basis so I really have the inside scoop, most of the time people declining stuff like this is just having either a bad day or they not in da mood for working so its hardly has anything to do with your overall status.for starters your bond application form or any app that you complete carries about 50% weight that will justify your approval

Does anybody know how long on average it takes to get a home loan granted?

1-3 days or so.

Edit: Well 1-3 days for approval. Then if you accept a day or so to get it to the lawyers. Then they need to get copy of title deeds etc etc so up to 3 weeks easily and then after they lodge with deeds office they say "7-10 days" for it to go through.
