My Home Network - Please take a look and then help me with the following if you can:
http://i245.photobucket.com/albums/gg76/hendrischoeman/home_network.jpg

At the moment I have to have one PC, the "Main PC", permanently on in order to give all the other PC's on the network internet access using WiMAX. This is a bit of a problem because, whenever I need to reboot that machine, or boot into Linux, or whatever, the rest of the house loses internet connectivity.

I have two routers available, the one in the pic - a Netgear DD834G, and a Billion 7104VGP. Is there ANY way that I can use either one of these routers to create a PPPOE connection instead of having to use a PC, and in so doing, make the internet connection indendant of a pc?

:confused::confused:

Any help and guidance whatsoever appreciated

You should be able to enter the login details on the netgear via the web interface. Not sure what the screens look like, however most of the ADSL router available can do it.

That also goes for the WiMax routers. If it is not available , then you might have to upgrade the firmware.

WiMAX Routers? You aren't supplied a WiMAX router. You just get the CPE which you have to connect directly to you PC? Or does the CPE also include a firmware type thing that you can access?
