My boats trailer is looking a bit banged up and it's starting to rust from all the salt water exposure. I want to clean it up, treat the rust and respray as a small diy project.

I took a chance at sandblasting with a cheap gun from builders and blastrite B125 media. It didn't work at all due to the particles being too large. Sadly it's the only abrasive I've been able to find here in George.

I'm looking at buying abrasive from Cape Town and seeing as it needs to be delivered, there's a lot more choice.

From the home diyers out there, I'm curious, what spec compressor, gun, abrasive etc have you had good success with?

Wasn't able to source any finer media locally. Best option was buying from CT but shipping 100KG makes it basically the same price as paying a company to do it locally.

Picking up the trailer tomorrow as hopefully a clean and blank canvas
