Damn, I've been lusting over a Sonos Arc to be my home theatre and then in a year to buy the sub.

Looking at these options , wondering if I am being stupid (have lots of Sonos gear already). That JBL that @Lupus shared looks amazing. And I would still have change from my budget of 20k

Reason for Sonos , is I don't want my lounge full of speakers (as awesome as that would be.

Have an LG OLED so need to be sure everything works. More research to do

How did you mount the surround speakers ? Do you get stands for them ?

It has eARC which I understand cuts out delay / lag issues one can have. I know Samsung doesn't support Dolby Vision so would that affect my ability to use it on my TV that supports it?

Also I am assuming , I continue to leave my Apple TV connected to the TV and then from TV I connect to soundbar/AV receiver (regardless of make) so that I can continue to use TV to control everything instead of needing to deal with another remote ?

That gets a lot of good recommendations from people, also yes it would effect you getting dolby vision if the soundbar cannot pass it through sadly.

Floor standing are really, really pricey. How much of a gap between the wall and the window? As I also have a window behind my couch and had the speakers mounted on the remaining part of the wall.

You see the problem ? On the right there's a little bit of wall, but on the left there's a door.

I see some of the advice is that the surrounds should be about 1 to 1.5m above the listeners ears if that helps?

Can run the cables along the ceiling skirting through a thin conduit, or you can get the JBL I've got which is wireless speakers

I looked at that JBL you posted. How long does the battery last before it needs a recharge ?

I've only had them up for about 7 hours, they claim 10 hours, never really gone that far with them. Also there is a usb b port on the back to charge them/run them while they are mounted if needed. There is the cheaper 5.1 at 9k which is basically a smaller version of the 9.1

I'm not there yet in my surround sound journey. I simply move them from the TV stand and place them on a chair here and there to enjoy surround effects.
