hi guys

i have a home theatre system that i want to get rid of, all working 100% what could i get for it? its a

Samsung HTDS 140, one with the tall boy 2 front speakers and the 3 satalites??

Any input please guys?

Thanks

What did you pay for it originally? I see it doesn't have DivX support, thats going to hurt it's sale :(

yeah, divx is a must nowadays. If it does not support it, make sure your price is very keen.

I would say compare the price of a similar setup from Makro/Game/Dion then knock say 30%-50% off. Check out response and then consider dropping the price depending on how urgently you want to get rid of it.

The longer you wait the more you lose. Especially on a Samsung model ... now if you were talking Marantz/Denon/Yamaha, etc that is another thing altogether.

Just to give you an idea ... I sold my Panasonic 'top of the range' home theatre set bought in 2001 for R5000 (big bucks at that time) for R500 now. You system is not so old so the circumstances are different.

Good luck with the sale mate!

Even Marantz suffers horribly - I have a Marantz DVD and Marantz CD player which are R21,000.00 together - and I'd battle getting R7,000 ...
