After cleaning the carb, replacing the plug. Still wouldn't start.

Mine just ticks over never increasing rpm.

Sounds flooded.

When I close the fuel tap and it starts to run lean then the revs increase.

Why would you want to use this genny? It's output is 120V @60Hz.

Is your seat/needle on the float closing/is the float not got a hole in it perhaps?

Alternatively pilot jet out of adjustment close ot all the way and back out 1 full turn and test working your way up to 60hz.
