I'm thinking about trading my car in for a 2008 model Honda Jazz, the older shape. Has anyone had any experience with the Jazz? Any comments? Are Honda's really as reliable as everyone says?

The previous gen Jazz is arguable the most reliable car in the world as per JD Power surveys completed around the world. There's no doubt the car is bullet proof. And the unfortunate fire incident occured in 3 vehicles. Honda have sold millions of Jazz's around the world in 2007 they reported 2 million sales between 2001 and 2007

I agree, those little Jazz's are amazing. I know of a guy who sells extended warranty insurance on vehicles, and Honda's are insanely reliable. They never get claims.

Not sure about the new Jazz but the 2008 ones were really awesome. Are you looking at a 1.5 V-Tec or 1.4 i-DSI?
I drove a 1.4 i-DSI on a few long distance trips and it behaves very nicely on the open road. In town it is always a dream to drive however I was fortunate enough never to have filled it up after usage ;)

I'm looking at the i-DSI as I am on a bit of a budget. I've done a ton of research now and for the money seems an excellent choice.

Excellent choice. They can go up to 174km/h and do so in comfort with no sacrifice in drive quality so you will be happy with your purchase once you unleash it on the open road.

I'm driving the 1.5 v-tec (well when my wife is not hogging it), and love the little car. Bought it in oct of 2007 and never an issue...so far....touch wood

The Jazz is an excellent, reliable vehicle. Great fuel consumption too.
