Honda Jazz Tyres

...175-65-15 is fitted on ours, and it looks like not so a popular size in SA.

Yup 175-65-15 is standard fit for the Jazz.. and like you said not popular. Had to great difficulty getting a replacement for one of mine after a blowout and it was expensive. 185's should be easy to come by I think.

OP, you sure 185-65-15 was the original size (Factory spec) on the Jazz? 175-65-15 is fitted on ours, and it looks like not so a popular size in SA

Yup that is the std size. I bought my car second hand with 30k on the clock and it had these 185/65/15 fitted. Had to change them now at 65k.

The 185/65s were about R900 each. Michelins were more expensive at roughly R1100 each. As an aside, I wanted to get Michelins because I've got them on my FR-V and I'm very happy with them but the price put me off.

Like I mentioned earlier I'm fairly happy with these tyres so far. I've just noticed a small issue in that the gearbox doesn't change up (3rd to 4th for example) as quickly as it did previously, especially when going downhill.

I have a Jazz and had the same issue with the tyre size. All the tyre supplies that I contacted did not stock or supply the original size and the Honda dealership recommended the MY-01. I am now on my second set and no issues.

Just ask the great people at http://mufasa.co.za/, they gave me a whole list of options of tyre brands and makes for my Jazz, "strange size" and all. They get it from the suppliers and are very helpful so chances are good that they'll be able to find you the tyre that you need.
