cars are fairly cheap in the US. you can pick up a v6 mustang for the price of the toyota 86 $24 000. They get really pricey when you have to import them. A right hand drive 2013 mustang costs about R900 000. Apparently ford is going sell a model that will be approved for SA sales. If you ask me ford is a bit stupid for not having the Focus RS and mustang in SA

Hondas look cheap.
Best example is the new CRV, the rear looks like the ugly version of a Volvo C90.
Their cars lack a quality in design which over time shows.
Can't say I'm impressed with an Honda made in the last 5 years.
Honda styling against the top two Koreans, Honda is far behind.

Matter of opinion/taste. After 3 years I'm still not tired of the looks of my Accord Tourer (Acura TSX Sportswagon in the USA).

I'm starting to look for a replacement, but if looks to me was the primary concern, I will struggle to find a car that that in my opinion match my current cars looks. I would have to immediately disqualify the Sonata (seashell with wheels), Passat and Audi A4 (too bland and boring), Kia Optima (looks like a pimps car), Suzuki Kisazhi (spelling? - ugly rear) and the new 3 series (great rear, ugly nose). If looking at station wagon variants only - Honda beats the rest hands down except maybe for Volvo.

I also do not like the new Civic sedan but love the new Civic hatch (but only in white).

Luckily not everyone's tastes are the same.

Thats a nice Honda you have there, in general Hondas styling is cheap.

The Koreans are currently owning the Japs as far as passenger vehicle designs are concerned. Way too many Honda's and Toyota's on the road that I look at and go WTF?! :wtf:

Lekkaaaaa!! But that is exactly the problem. You have to kit it out to look good. The previous Civic looks good when it comes out of the factory..

My thoughts exactly. Why should one spend extra cash on a body kit when the car should actually look good right off the bat. Body kits generally don't help with the resale value either.

I'm pretty sure we've all concluded that it's ugly in some other thread. Think most are praying that they bring out a different model for the other markets.

I think they will have a different model. Hopefully in line with the C Concept, which is apparently being developed for the Chinese market... Though C might mean C-segment, which is Civic size, not Accord size. Anyway, looks good.

I suspect that it is the shape for the N American market as it seems a to be a minor upgrade from the 2011 American Accord (looks almost the same see: http://www.autohotest.com/1546/2011-honda-accord-sedan-review/). I agree though- it's fugly.

The Yanks have funny tastes in car design - even when the JDM spec Honda's are sold under the Acura brand in the States is gets "pimped" with an ugly front grill: http://www.edmunds.com/acura/tsx-sport-wagon/2013/

Normally the JDM spec is showcased at the Geneva motor show, so hopefully it will be more Eurosentric in design as I can't see myself trading my current gen in on that ugly duckling.

That is seriously puke worthy!!

I drove behind a Focus RS yesterday.

probably imported. I could be wrong last time I checked there was no focus RS available in SA. Though I havent checked since last year i could be wrong.

just saying the interior is very important since you inside the car most of the time. For me dials are extremely important, like a well designed watch, if i dont like the dials I wont even consider owning that car doesnt matter what it is
