'lo all,

So I have finnaly taken the plunge and will be tieing the knot in the next few weeks. I admittedly do not have a romantic bone in my body!! I need some suggestion's for the evening to make it more "romantic" for her. That being before we get to what needs to be done....

Any idea's? I have already booked us accomodation for the eveing in the honeymoon suite, somehow I dont think that is up to scratch as she would expect something a bit more (in her words) "special".

Help a brother out!! I need to this right, please..

I'd suggest the Southern Italy. If you're a bit more outdoorsy: Corsica, Sardinia or Sicily.

Seriously, have you two never talked about your dreams, about where you'd like to go and what you'd like to see? This should be a no-brainer

Hmm, perhaps I didnt communicate this correctly. I am talking of just the one evening of the honeymoon i.e. honeymoon night after the ceremony and celebrations. We will be staying at a honeymoon suite for the evening before we endevour on our trip the next day.

I am in the same boat, I might just use the advise.......

Assuming it is an evening wedding, and you had the wedding is not "romance" enought for her, then she planned it wrong. Surely when you guys go to the suite after the reception, there should be only one thing left to do ......... cut more cake

Oh, I see, you mean your wedding night.

Well... what's better than the honeymoon suite? A presidential suite, that's what! :p

Make it special by walking around wearing only your white socks.

Is the suite at the wedding venue? are you able to get into the room before hand to set things up?

We had such a good time at the wedding that by the time we got back to the room at 2:30 odd we were knackered and fell asleep. We snacked on the goodies left behind in prep for breakfast and joined the other guests for lunch. Prep it before the time (leave this up to your best man perhaps) and don't fuss, the details appear quite hazy a year after and the best memories are those of having fun, not trying your utmost to impress.

Generally from what I've heard, most people are too tired after the ceremony and reception and stuff to care about getting anything done that night in the honeymoon suite. You'll probably just be talking and then fall asleep. The best thing to do is make her feel special every day of your marriage, that counts more than a good "honeymoon night" will. The day is big enough already, with a lot of expectations and adrenalin.

Most hotels throw petals on the bed and put a glass of bubbly in the room for you... it's a bit irritating actually, woke up with a hangover and petal mush smeared all over the bed.

Thanks all, I am still at a loss for any practical idea's for the room/atmosphere.

I will have access to the honeymoon suite before hand. Yes it is at the same venue. I am almost thinking I should watch some chick flicks to get some idea..

rather watch some poRno and then you can learn that as well

get one with a romantic story line

You said "...do not have a romantic bone in my body..." and if you are going to show some romance on your wedding night then you have set a precident that you have some romance in you ... and dude ... you will have to be romantic F O R T H E R E S T O F Y O U R L I F E!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
:p

People have no imagination these days.

To answer your question: Reverse cowgirl with Rock you like a hurricane playing in the background.

Clearly lack of reading and thinking comes to mind, too much [-]mybb[/-] social twattering.

I just got married. From my side, after the wedding day and celebrations etc. We literally went back to bridal suite and slept. Early rise again for breakfast with friends etc. I wouldn't waste money or time on the suite that you are staying in, at least not for the wedding night.
