Getting tired of my s23 ultra, In store comparison the Honor Magic Pro 8 takes better pictures for than the s26 Ultra. The bigger battery is also a draw card, any one have one and their experience sofar?

Have the Magic 6 Pro, really like it. Super fast charging, excellent camera. I'm sure the 8 is even better.

does honor have official support in SA?
I am assuming yes but better to confirm

I believe so considering they're on most networks as contracts (annoyingly the Magic 8 isn't on MTN) and there are official service centers listed on their website. I'm also very keen on upgrading to a Magic 8 Pro as my iPhone 13 battery is abysmal now but I'm also wanting to see more content/experiences of people actually buying it as it looks great on paper. Also looking at the Mate 80 Pro as I love the phone but software updates seem to be non-existent, otherwise the Oppo Find X9 Pro also looks great but just a bit too expensive. There was a Mybroadband article the other day saying Xiaomi is bringing more flagship phones to networks which makes me want to hold out but my phone is barely useable now so at this point I'll probably be going with the Honor.

Switching from an iPhone to a non-iphone is not an upgrade of any kind lol :p

This seems more like just clueless customer service than non-support from reading the whole thread (which still isn't good obviously), there are lot's of verified service centers for Honors and I think their main website support is quite clueless, when the phone was just launched I messaged to ask about MTN contracts for the Magic 8 Pro and their launch specials through their website support and they just told me they didn't know which was very weird.

IMHO - ask around at the place where you want to sign the contract - if you are satisfied with the replies then get the phone you want and prefer ..... end of story ...... forget other peoples recommendations because your needs may not correspond with their needs - so you need to just concentrate on your own needs

if you like the honor then get the honor .... recently some person here preferred the Oppo x300 pro and he got it and he is happy with it ..... there is nothing else to it - if you buy a phone you deserve to be happy with it and buying what someone else tells you to buy may make you resent them if it doesn't match your expectations

I remember that thread, I think it was a complete miscommunication. If you have a close look, it appears that the person responding was thinking that the message came from someone in India, referring him to the Honor India website. https://www.honor.com/in
Going to the South African website, it does indicate service centers in south Africa. https://www.honor.com/za/support/service-center/
