I have a massive ~1400 honor points from PVP. I know it is by far not enough to buy stuff, but where in the game can I peruse the items that can be bought, and can those items be used when questing, raids and instances?

Im horde.

Orgrimmar, hall of legends I think it's called (get off at the flight master, cross the bridge, turn left, first building on the right. You zone in).

Yes they can. Its a good starting point, but generally you don't wanna use this gear for PvE purposes. It lacks some of the more vital PvE stats but its no big deal, you can always just gem them to make up for what its lacking.

Take note that honor points will most likely expire on the 13th of November, so spend them soon.

I have about 250 honor points. My last belt cost me 17,850 HP

Luckily AV is a honor farm if you're alliance. 500h a round in as little as 12 mins :D

I've read that honor points aren't going to be reset anymore, so you can save them up for after the expantion

I hate you... farming AV as Horde is like trying to get blood out of a stone. Well, it is on Blackout at least.

Farming AV as horde sucks. As is EOTS. Maybe its changed in the last few months, but trying to get the gear on my priest was a horrible experience.

Yeah it isn't resetting

1400 is a bit low jeesh. I make 400-500 if a match is slow,av etc can go into thousands ( Ret pally and Arms war kinda kills things fast )

Some of the items from PVP are lovely depending on spec and stats required for it. Generally only use PVP to fill in gaps in gear as it isn't perfectly itemized for PvE

Thats funny - we alliance players normally give the horde credit for being tops in Arathi and Warsong... as well as Alterac Valley if a defensive strategy is applied with offense. (Oops did I give it all away?)

Honour points are a great way to start but there are other options. Clothies have an enormous advantage if they take up tailoring> immediately get the chance to make Spellcloth, Shadoweave, or Mooncloth. I leveled tailoring enough to start making spellcloth at 63 and built up a stockpile, roped in my mates and had enough by the time I hit lvl 70 to make the full set of Spellfire items (gloves, robe, and belt).. .plus knew enough peeps to get the Battlecast Hood and Pants made. To this day my mage has seen ZERO battleground action because the priest and warrior before him had to spend countless days and hours farming silly honours points and marks.

The PVP gear is good but there are ways around it.

Marks like EoTS, WSG, and AB are ffing hard to farm fast and I'm glad this toon didnt have to do it. But ... :) .. I got extremely lucky > first ever Kara run I won 7 epic drops. I now have the t4 helm sitting in my bank because its not as good as the helm that dropped in kara.

This game can be easy if you plan way ahead. (And get blerrie lucky)

hmm, I'd say if you haven't got decent gear yet, farm battlegrounds for honor and badges. Get some gear for WotLK to make leveling a bit easier :)

I'm working on better PvE gear as this will be better for leveling :D

Getting my 100 badge robe tonight to replace my Spellfire set :D woot!

Ok I don't get what you said about PVE gear being better for leveling. Typically the PvP stuff emphasises Stamina much more than the PVE stuff from what I've seen. The only thing that does open up with PvE gear are more slots for gems?

My mage is geared for SSC/TK/ZA completion but I still have the spellfire set > that set is goooood. Gzz btw.

PVP gear does have more stamina, but usualy does not have hitrating or same high dps stats. So PVE gear is still better for leveling, though PVP will sure help you if your still in blue and green gear.

Indeed. Being mage, stamina is useless anyways.

Spellfire set has served me well and I've used it through MH and BT even ^^

Need more crit though and my spelldmg is 1173 unbuffed with my current gear, so I'll get this up and crit up and still be hit capped :) Score all the way :p

Like being prot vs dps, fine you can survive years longer but you cant kill the mob? :P PvE gear = killing,PVP gear = survival
