We recently established a guild called Prophecy on Lightbringer (PvE). Here's our mission statement:
Prophecy is a South African guild that originated on the http://forums.prophecy.co.za. The guild was started to fill the position of a casual South African guild. The focus of the guild is to cater for all South Africans and help enrich their playing experience.
We plan to cultivate a friendly, family environment where guild members can enjoy WoW however they please. Our guild structure is very loose at the moment as we don't believe one person has authority over the guild and thus all decisions are made together. When we have enough members our focus will shift to end-game raids keeping in mind the main purpose of the guild, enjoyment.
To that end Prophecy will never be a hardcore raiding guild like the ones on Twilight's Hammer, and as such we will never close our door to new recruits. We will also not require a certain % raid attendance. We are not going to have a set raid group that raids 5 times a week to kit a select group of guild members in the best epics. We will raid because it is an enriching part of a player's WoW experience.
We hope to become the South African light in the darkness of Azeroth and draw all the South Africans who want a place where they can play with their countrymen in a raiding guild without being told how they should play the game that they pay for.
So if you want to join drop me a PM or put your name in this thread.
