Horizontal lines across my screen

Hi guys. The other day I restarted my pc, and when it booted up, there were wierd horizontal lines across my screen... They don't have color, but just destort the image. What might be the problem?

i'm guessing CRT?

Either gpu or monitor. I would check the monitor cable first, then reinstall display drivers and if it still does not come right swap the gpu with another/swap the monitor with another

Could be vertical sync, see if there's any small knobs to turn at the back of the monitor.

its a lcd monitor. installed updates but the problem is still here!

Tried swapping the monitor and gpu with another one to isolate the problem?

yea, solved it. put my crt in and no more lines... think its time for a upgrade
