Hey guys is there anyway you can do a Horizontal Span in windows 7 with 2 monitors ? And i don't mean like just extend a desktop to a second monitor i mean horizontal span that your windows detect 2 monitors as one big one.Which mean doubling your resolution. And running at a 3840 x 1080 res if you have 2 x 1920 x 1080 monitors. Is there anyone out there that got this working if so how? Without using extra hardware like the matrox dualhead2go.

Yes there is a way, but you wont like it - get a 5 series ATI graphics card. Works flawlessly, easy setup. I'm sure there are other ways, but I dont know them. Will be interesting to see what others suggest.

You can do this inside of a VM if you want a cheap solution. Alternatively, get any ATI card with Eyefinity and that will do the same thing.

uuum, you can also try a very useful app called Ultramon. It might support that sort of thing.
