Hi everyone

Lately, I've been experiencing TERRIBLE, DISGUSTING and HORRIFYING torrent speeds. My protocol is encrypted, I'm connected to several sources on my downloads all the time, yet my D/L speed is little more than 1.4kB/s.

Last week, they were going at about 70. What could be wrong? I've tried multiple IP's, yet the speed stays the same. :(

What to do?

Its not just you :( i cant get above 1K/s on any local torrents :'(

GBM, you using uTorrent? After the threads lying around here, it's possible that iBurst has figured out the loophole, and blocked it. Unless of course you're on G9.

Yes, Ive been using Utorrent all my life. I'm on G3. So the rumours are true? They've figured it out the flaw in the system?

If iburst blocks such access, personally I think it's just retarded... firstly you are using your bw to download torrents...

why don't they provide a server like IS's newsgroup, that holds torrented stuff.. this way we won't conjest their serves

I sure haven't, anyone else done so? I'm terrified of having the conversaion

Customer:"My Torrents and P2p don't work."

Helpdesk:"Are you on G9 sir?"

Customer:"No"

Helpdesk:"Well then they would go slow as we sha-"

Customer:"Noooo, they DON'T WORK"

Helpdesk:"They're not supposed to"

I suppose its cause you're still "degrading" the service for others by hogging spectrum (or bandwidth) on the tower - A problem u dont have with fixed lines.

Something has changed on the iBurst network I have noticed it aswell.

I am back from a long holiday so I will see what I can figure out. What I do know is that they have tried to block my use of Dynamic DNS, they changed something on the network while I was away which broke DirectUpdate (it was no longer able to determine my IP address) and I had to spend hours this weekend to get it working again. It works now, but is slow as they're shaping the protocol I use.

That, and torrents are useless... 0,7Kb/sec on a torrent with excellent s/l ratio (the kind that usually allow me to dl at 70Kbyte/sec). Like I say I will have some time soon and then I'll play and see what's what and if I can solve my problems.

Hi
I have exactly the same problem and did phone the helpdesk e-mailed them and did everything and i ecourage you to do the same! When i contacted them it's always that's it my fault or i sould buy more bandwith. I am also on the 3g package.

Yup, emailed them earlier and the guy said it was my signal. I explained that it's happening TO EVERYONE and he said he'd escalate it with this thread as reference.

So we'll see what happens.

Hey I'm not such a big idiot...a moderate sized one perhaps

Did you also try and help them increase their penis size while finding hot wet teenage lesbians?

Thats what I thought initially [well everything minus the increasing their penis size]..but the mail server at work sees all iBurst related mails as spam...resent it at home..but I doubt anything will come of it..

I have a 700mb torrent at 90%..guess it'll finish by the time iBurst gives us another 500mb for the same price...

Hmmm I am also getting timeouts when trying to connect to any trackers.

Oh dear, I'm starting to wonder if iBurst is going to see its ass now. I kinda hope not, they've been good for me up to this point, but if they start degrading torrents I'm going to consider cancelling.

The worst part is they are so NOT transparent about everything. Typical BEE.

uTorrent Speeds

Judging by the posts, a lot of people are having the same problem...:

I was getting awesome download speeds using utorrent until last week - (i-Burst 3G) ...

Now my speed is almost non-existent and I am not able to connect to any trackers. (message: connection closed by peer).

Anyone found a solution yet?

Since everyone is complaining, then they must have figured out how to bypass the protocol encryption. Are there any other methods to bypass the system that they don't know about? :D

Yet according to the response I was emailed the attitude is as if they are unaware of the problem.

Intentional or not I advise EVERYONE email or call them to complain as it's the only way a dent will be made.
