Go to über and look at your previous trips. Should show there?

Go to your email invoice of the trip, and change the rating there. Uber will contact you

If you rated him 1 star, Uber would have contacted you.

Yeah, I did that (although I think I gave a two star rating lol) on my first ever Uber trip, where the driver was a serious hazard to everybody around her ... Uber e-mailed me immediately asking what was wrong, and promised to address the concerns with the driver. Great customer care :)

Sorry for necro thanks for all the help guys. Uber did revert back to me and apologized on behalf of the driver also they refunded the full trip and said would take appropriate actions towards the driver so more then happy with their customer service :)

Would you tip your Uber driver? More than 6000 South Africans say NO

Cape Town - Uber has taken the taxi industry by storm with rival taxi associations in SA going so far as to protest against the ride-hailing service.

So large is Uber’s presence that numerous car companies, such as Toyota, are joining forces with the company.

'We should tip these types of workers'

The link that exists between an Uber driver and a client is perhaps the most important aspect of the ride-hailing experience.

Should you tip an Uber driver?

Just like other service professionals, "we should tip these types of workers," says Sharon Schweitzer, etiquette consultant and founder of Protocol & Etiquette Worldwide.

Many of them have to reach into their own pockets to pay for fuel, bike repairs or other costs, and a tip could help drivers make ends meet, says Schweitzer.

Voting booth

We asked 'Would you tip your Uber driver if it was an option?' and our homepage poll garnered 16 710 votes:

• 4783 (29%) respondents said they would tip the driver if it was an option.

• 5394 (32%) said they would tip the driver depending on the service they receive.

• 6533 (39%) of voters said they would not tip Uber drivers.

Uber's approach to tipping

In April 2016, Uber settled two class-action lawsuits in California and Massachusetts after drivers claimed the service did not allow them to accept tips.

The company said: "When we started Uber six years ago, we thought long and hard about whether to build a tipping option into the app. In the end, we decided against including one because we felt it would be better for riders and drivers to know for sure what they would pay or earn on each trip — without the uncertainty of tipping.

"That’s still the case today. Tipping is not included, nor is it expected or required. In fact riders tell us that one of the things they like most about Uber is that it’s hassle-free. And that’s how we intend to keep it."

"Tipping could give drivers an incentive to spend more time where tips are likely to be highest — typically the wealthiest neighborhoods. We’ve worked hard to provide a service that reliably serves entire cities and is not just concentrated in central business districts."

Bike repairs for uber drivers? say what?

Not a chance am I tipping. I want it to remain hassle free - raise the prices if the drivers are not making enough.

Here is a list of some bad experiences I have had with them

1. A drunk Uber driver was assigned to me didn't even obey traffic rules to make matters worst there was a roadblock and maricuously they didn't stop him - he just he was on the job, once I got to thesrrival point he got out of his car to actually breath fresh air, but never ever wanna experience something bad like that.

2. A partner driver decided to become independent and got himself a car through West bank since they don't do an ITC check on Uber drivers applying for vehicles. He told his partner/boss that he now has his own car and the boss wasn't impressed and withholded his pay. He received the vehicle from West Bank with half a tank and he didn't have money for fuel. The dashboard showed O KM remaining thought i was gonna be stranded in the middle of nowhere got home luckily but he was driving like. 30 km/h.. He didn't have any cash with him for petrol.

3, lack of communication skills with a driver who barely speaks a word of English

Still confused why you rated him four starts if he was bad from the beginning.
