With over 25 years of international experience in the Information Technology and Telecommunications industries, Hossein has proven expertise driving technology strategy and architecture within Communications Service Providers to ensure growth and profitability. Hossein joined Nokia Siemens Networks from BT, where he was responsible for mobile technology and architecture. He has worked in several leading positions at companies in Europe, Asia and the United States during his career. Prior to working for BT, Hossein held positions with T-Mobile including Group Vice President for technical strategy and Chief Architect. He was also Chief Technologist for the Network Service Provider Group at Sun Microsystems, where he spent several years in a variety of management and development roles.
As an active consultant, Hossein has been a Board Member of several technology startup companies, has served as an investment advisor in leading venture firms, and has been a strategy consultant in various technology companies in Europe, Israel, and the U.S..
Hossein has Ph.D., Master of Science, and Bachelor of Science degrees in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Born in 1964, he holds both Italian and Iranian citizenship, and is married with two sons. In his spare time, he enjoys skiing, reading, watching films and spending time with his family.
