To the Engineers at Afrihost.

I would like to request the ability to add [hostnames] on the DNS Editor in the ClientZone

This has become a necessary & standard feature in the hosting industry and we would like to see Afrihost adopt the part.

I use various registrars in addition to Afrihost including [digital ocean],[name cheap] & [godaddy] to name a few...

all of which support hostnames.

Afrihost is the only one that forces DNS record management in its native DNS manager.

Though I can modify custom Nameservers, I cannot add hostnames e.g.:

If I were to modify one of the default NS records to [ns1.site.com], I'd still be without a hostname [ns1.site.com = xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx]

so, the request would fail because [ns1.site.com] would resolve to nothing, but if [ns1.site.com = xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx] existed the

request would proceed to make calls to [xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx] for further DNS resolution.

[xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx] is the hosting environment, hence managing DNS entirely [Self Hosted DNS]

Afrihost is just my registrar and shouldn't necessarily be my DNS Host, this approach makes it difficult to manage DNS records because it forces me to manage DNS records on the registrar, and for someone as diverse as I am, it's a lot of registrars...

I'm informed by Keaton-Paul H (Ticket ID: EDV-375-55177) that hostnames can be added in cPanel, but this is an issue as one needs to be on cPanel to benefit, and would not work for my scenario as I don't use cPanel for hosting and deployment.

Please consider this feature with serious intent as I'm sure similar engineers stand in need as well and will only make us, your customers happier with the service.

Hi, please confirm the TLD extension for the domains in question.
