Hot dog

I'm Muslim and I have never heard a single Muslim ever have a problem with that naming convention.

It's pretty obvious that the name doesn't imply there's actually dog meat in there, those tourists visiting Malaysia must be quite thick.

I read today that muslims don't like that word, they want it to be called something else, like a boerie, etc. I will rather not tell you what my suggestions would be.
Someone's been watching too much Mickey Mouse Clubhouse.

Actually, based on the population make up of Malaysia there is a risk factor involved that you may get a poodle sausage in your 'dog

Muslims in SA have no problem calling Hot Dogs by its name. Its featured in many Halal restaurants and Take Aways as such, some even list Hamburgers yet there is no ham in it. Its only in Malaysia that its an issue and they choose to rename it. Its simply word play and the country is a Muslim country so they can do as they want.
There's your response.
What about the HAMburger?

Maybe OP read this and got confused:

Malaysia’s government has ordered food outlets to rename hot dogs or risk being refused halal certification as dogs are considered unclean in Islam and should not be linked to food.

The ruling was requested by the Malaysian Islamic Development Department, the Malay government’s religious authority. Despite the call being widely ridiculed, it appears the order will be enforced in the Muslim-majority country.

No cares... alway refer to them as frankfurters, or just franks, anyway.
