Hottest sauce you ever tasted ?

Not a sauce but a chilli tequila from mozambik restaurant or the time I ate the block of wasabi as a dare, was not worth R100!

Lol we used to have Wasabi eating contests when going out for Sushi but the Habanero sauce Francois mentions above is the most potent thing I've ever tasted.

Wasabi is fine in small doses, in big blocks your head feels like it will explode

I you are ever in a proper Indian restaurant in the U.K. ask for a Phaal curry, its not usually on the menu but most of them will make it for you if you ask. Its made out different chillies including Habanero, and believe me it will burn the hell out of you.

P.S. put the tp in the fridge cause she's a double burner of note.

Dave's insanity hot sauce is pretty hot,
mother in law curry powder (technically not a sauce, but when mixed in is very warm)

best tasting hot / peri peri sauce i have had recently, mozambic restaurant just off beyers in jozi. You can buy it for R40 as well, its very very good

Catemba's Portuguese Restaurant in Hatfield, Pretoria makes a pretty fiesty house sauce ... it's pretty close in hotness to a delightful "prego roll" I once enjoyed at a rest stop approx half-way between Maputo and Xai-Xai. That baby definitely burned the living crap out of me more than once :)

Nothing close to a Naga or Habanero though (thank zeus!)

P.S If you haven't noticed yet ... Bushman's has a new Dynamite Chilli Sauce available ... sounds pretty explosive!

Just for kicks - excuse the pun, I've heard of India's Bhut Jolokia, has anyone here in South Africa tried a sauce made just from this - is it at all as hot as is claimed - might give Nali sauce a run for its' money ?

Check a few posts up, at my Nagga Jolakia. Same family, just different places where they're grown. Same heat scale.
Yes, it's as hot as claimed. Hotter, possibly. 2kg of mince, 2 Jolakia peppers and a handful of Jalapenos (dunno why we added them, they're like 1000 times less hot than a Nagga).... my tear glands were working overtime.
