House sale concerns

Will the estate agent still be receiving their commission?

I have been wanting to touch on this. When the original OTP expired and the agent had proved their worthlessness, I would have refused to proceed unless the agent reduced their comm further. At the end of the day, they are receiving a % of the value of your home from the sale and they don't deserve it.

Did push back in the comm in the end. On the one hand the agency dealt with the entire situation badly, on the other they got a buyer in a week. Their attitude sucks though.

/drums fingers

So been attempting to make arrangements relating to the actual move since Friday. Lots of promises but no concrete response. Turns out there is now an issue with getting my buyers transfer duty receipt (apparently tomorrow now) and nobody else wants to commit to anything until it's resolved.

Lodgement now expected Friday or Monday only after which we can talk dates

So lodgement got dragged out...indications are it will now finally happen tomorrow.

Seller of the place I purchased is being difficult now and for some reason doesn't want to make arrangements in respect of the actual move dates...

this is like a neverending nightmare

And after everything registration on this coming Tuesday

WTF has been your delay since your buyer paid their costs?

I ask, because my house is sold, buyers have paid all costs and deposit to my transfer attorney, and we are just waiting for the 1 October date for transfer, as was set in the OTP. I have a rental lease signed for 1 October for our new place to live so a delay on my transfer would hurt me financially....

The agency farked up.

They presented the offer as a cash sale when it was actually subject to the sale of the buyers existing property. He had accepted an offer on his place but that transaction first had to be completed before he could fulfil the conditions in the purchase with regards to the deposit etc.

And done.

Registration went through today after being delayed twice this week. Deeds office is now clamping down on attorneys who don't pay their accounts by the 1st by now allowing new transactions of theirs to register.

Truck is unpacked at the new place, still need to do boxes. Handed over old keys to the owner.

Next step is to lodge complaint with EAAB but that's another story.
