Anyone here with a lamborghini murcielago, I would love 2 be ure driver, just lend me the car every other weekend.
And i promise i wont be driving alone. :D

SA people have to be pushed. As long as you can drive on your own, you will. Carpooling is a mindset change people aren't willing to go through. It's not that they can't drive together, it's that they don't want to!

And I agree, if you have a meeting... hell, if you want to drive alone... get a bike.
 
Has anyone noticed a slight problem with this -

Right hand lane being HOV (busses, taxi's etc..) now tell me what happens when a slow moving bus (or truck loaded with people fot that matter) wants to go from the center lane to an offramp? Crossing two lanes of faster moving traffic in a putco isn't really going to slove any problems is it? All it will do is give the taxi drivers an excuse to harras more drivers who god forbid should drive in *their* lane.
 
i saw empty taxies driving in those lanes today,

just the driver in the front

actually come to think of things, they must be pissed off about this new lane :P they've been using it illegally all along and now they have to share it with regular car pools now ;P

I wonder what sort of rioting and vandalism taxi drivers will be inflicting on the gautrain when its launched, they definately wont allow it to steal their business..

Plan your own life. I was in car pools when young. Driver does not show, late, unforeseen problems that happens leaving you stranded, waiting etc. Later I stopped and that was in the good old days! Pool all you like but me and my car will travel alone. No time to pick up beggars that wants a lift, normally for free! The GVT must get their act together and stop looking for aspro's to fix what they created! Create proper public transport and stop this stupid brainwaves, to become fruitless experiments that each Johny dreams up!
 
Idiots! Right hand lane full of slow taxis and the faster taxis veering left to pass them. Left lanes full of slow moving traffic with the trucks occupying the middle lanes as usual. How stupid can this ANC led GVT still be. Do they think it will speed up traffic, No way it will slow it down more. The law says keep left pass right. So I will pass right! Bl@@dy fools! Really time to leave the circus!

Anyway anybody think they can police it? They cannot even police the current situation where slow traffic has to keep left! and how are they going to proof there is no passenger? Camera, Where is my kid? What a bl@@dy South African Joke! Top scores for stupidity to the GVT and supporters of this "noble" idea! Please take out special "protect me against GVT stupidity" insurance before traveling in that special to be lane or highway!
 
What a Stupid Idea.....

The right hand lane will be the Carpool lane...

So all the taxi's which are only allowed to to do 100Km/H will pack this lane so it will crawl as well... The other lanes will all so come to a stand still as all try to pile into the carpool lane...

Trucks in the left taxi's in the right so only the middle is left for the rest of the traffic...
 
Just wonder if they are going to try to pull me off for traveling in the wrong lane! :D

Watter dom donder het hierdie blink idee uitgedink? How can you have a car pool lane in the far right of traffic when your highway exits are on the left, and remove the emergency lane altogether???
